Dotty’s pedigree represents a blend of the best German and American bloodlines available. Dotty represents 5 generations of NAVDHA’s Utility dogs, 5 generations of AKC Master Hunters. Her sire VC Shooting Star’s Sharp Shooter MH is a NAVHDA Versatile champion whose get are passed down to his offspring.  Shooter has sired; 2 Versatile Champions, 22 Utility dogs, a dozen AKC Master Hunter and Senior dogs, several Natural Ability Breeders Awards, and two Utility Breeder Awards. Her dam Hawkeyes Westfork B B is a blend of the most sought after German lines as well as exceptional American bloodlines.   Dotty earned her AKC Master Title at the age of 25 months, passing 5 out of six attempts.  Her Utility Prize   was earned at just 2.7 years of age. She is exceptional in both the field and the water with tremendous desire in every situation.  She is extremely cooperative, learning quickly. Dotty pointed her first woodcock at 6months of age; she passed her natural ability test at 7 months of age. At 14 months Dotty had qualified in 4 consecutive legs on her AKC Senior Hunting Title. By the time Dotty reached 18 months she obtained two consecutive qualifications towards her AKC Master Hunting Title. Dotty’s litter is the recipient of a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder’s and a Utility Breeder’s Award Dotty has been exceptionally easy to train learning quickly what was expected of her. She retrieves and backs naturally. Dotty is extremely intense while on point; she is very focused while completing a duck search. Dotty has continuous drive while in the field hunting, however while in the home she is content to lay around, she is a valued member of the family. Dotty is a close working gundog that switches gears as the cover allows. She is always hunting for the gun.  Dotty is intelligent and thorough whether she is searching the fields for pheasants or ducks in a swamp.
